Agency: Small Business Services

The Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is responsible for developing and growing NYC's small business community. SBS offers to help to small businesses in securing financing, navigating government regulations, and training employees through Business and Workforce Centers. SBS also works to strengthen commercial districts throughout the five boroughs by supporting NYC's Business Improvement District Program. SBS oversees and/or funds the following: the Workforce Development Division, the Economic and Financial Opportunity Division, NYC & Company, NYC Business Express and the Office of Industrial and Manufacturing Businesses.
